Favorite Music: Andrew Peterson. I also like Fernando Ortega, Sara Groves, Bruce Cockburn, good jazz and blues, anything that gets my toe tapping and makes me think of God.

Favorite Books: The Bible, John Piper books, anything by Chaim Potok, classic literature (i.e. Charlotte Bronte to Lord of the Rings), cookbooks, currently (sort of) reading a book on how to live off the land

During Free time I… wow. If I had free time, I’d read, ride my bike more, do more gardening, and do some volunteering.

Favorite Memory: Going back to visit my childhood home in Peru, 3 years ago. Favorite childhood memories: when I was 4-5 there was an older single lady “Miss Lil” who would have us girls over in pairs to spend the night in the loft of her little cottage. There was also an older lady whose kids were grown who would invite a bunch of kids over for a taffy pull. Then there were the soccer games in the rain, building forts in the jungle, motorcycle rides…

A Brief History: Born in Tulsa, OK, to parents newly accepted to the mission field. Learned to crawl in Mexico, and walk and talk in Bolivia. I spent ages 1-9 in Bolivia and 9-18 in Peru. Two years later I married my high school sweetheart, who was also raised in Peru. I went to college for 7 1/2 years to become a dietitian, then immediately began having children. I have 4 children, ages 2-7. My husband left 2 years ago and I’m newly single.

Originally from: See brief history; this is a hard question to answer. I’ve lived in/near Nashville for 14 years, so now that’s where I’m from.
